Our Story

JKS Incorporated was founded by Will Spencer in 1983 on Liberty Street in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. Will worked diligently to grow the business, partnering with local companies from Reynolds American to Hanesbrands. Christy Spencer, president, joined JKS six years later, which had grown its clientele to include big names such as the PGA Tour, NASCAR, NCAA sponsors, Fortune 500 companies, as well as marketing and advertising agencies from all over the U.S. In 2007, JKS moved its primary operations to Welcome, NC, but never let go of its roots or its original location in Winston-Salem.

Today, we’re back in our Liberty Street home – back to our roots and every bit as committed to delighting our clients – in a renovated, expanded footprint in the creative heart of downtown. As an NC HUB-certified woman-owned business, we’re here to put an energized spirit of innovation, creativity and leadership to work for small businesses, corporate clients and community partners.

Our process is simple – we collaborate closely with our clients to learn exactly what they want, and then figure out how to give it to them in a way that fits their budget. Every JKS client is different, and nothing we do is “off the shelf” – it’s all custom. That means our staff has to be versatile, accommodating, innovative and creative.

It also means they have to be dedicated and love what they do. Look at our employee turnover rate – which is practically 0 – and you’ll see that’s the case. As a result, our staff has close to 1,000 years of experience – and we’d love to put that experience to work for you.
